How We Developed Acoustamata for Animals

In Tune with Animals’ Needs
I’ve worked with demoralized performance horses to help them regain their spirit.
I’ve helped rehabilitate jaguars that were rescued from the exotic animal trade.
I’ve helped sick and aged dogs, cats, and horses cross the rainbow bridge gracefully.
I’ve worked with fearful sheep before harvest to help their last moments on earth be relaxed and happy.
I’ve helped a frustrated emu get unstuck from a fence, a flock of chickens integrate new members, and a heifer adjust to a change in environment after being weaned.
Being happy and relaxed isn’t just good for animals, but for their owners too.
Remarkable Resilience
We breed Silken Windhounds, using the Neurosomatic Tuning Method with our dogs daily.
Our approach is reported to produce remarkable mental, emotional, and physical resilience in the dogs we raise.
We use NSTM with our pregnant females to help them move through challenging experiences and return to relaxed and trusting states with ease.
This sends a biochemical signal to the developing fetuses, supporting the formation of strong nervous systems, emotional stability, and adaptiveness even before birth.
After the puppies arrive, we use NSTM while exposing them to new, often startling stimuli, to help them learn to self-regulate with incredible efficiency.
This gives them the tools to navigate the complex and often confusing world of human beings successfully.
Bringing Light to the Darkness
We named our kennel “Luminous” after the agates we find on the beach—stones worn by time and tide that, at first glance, looked like any other.
But, when an agate is held to the light, it glows in a way that is almost supernatural. Beautiful and magical to behold.
For over 15,000 years human beings have kept animals for hunting, retrieving, protection, herding, transportation, pest control, and more.
But today, many serve a quieter, more profound role: holding open the hearts of the people they live beside.
At Acoustamata, we honor this role by helping animals access their own sense of power, vitality, and radiance—so they can continue to serve their human partners and light the way home.
Please note, our breeding program is part of Acoustamata’s in-house study. These dogs are not just pets, but pioneers. While breeding isn’t the main focus of our organization, we do occasionally have puppies available. Qualified households with previous sighthound experience are always welcome to inquire.
